To complement the nationally prioritised activities on poverty alleviation, Janata Bank operates a number of micro credit programs both in-farm & off-farm  sectors. The Bank has involved in 12 major micro credit programs and disbursed TK. 3,014.90 million around US$ 60 million as of 30 June 2000. The average recovery rate is 85%.
